About what we do

We import and sell folk crafts that have been passed down across generations in regions around the world.
Our focus is on everyday objects—vessels, textiles and other living tools—made by hand by local artisans and shaped by daily life.
Every piece is selected in person by our founder, who travels to each region to engage directly with the makers, their techniques and their cultural context.
For that reason, we do not carry mass-produced goods or low-cost imitations.
Each item is a handcrafted work, never inexpensive, but chosen because the intention and value behind it are genuine.
We carry forward the feeling and texture held within each piece, delivering them with care to customers in Japan and to buyers around the world.

Main product categories
- Ceramics & tableware(vessels, plates, glasses and cups made with local techniques)
-
Unassuming yet quietly present, these vessels are shaped by techniques and decorative traditions long rooted in their region.
The texture of the clay and the character of the firing reflect local climate and culture, so no two pieces are alike.
We offer vessels that bring warmth to the table and reveal their origins a little more with each use.
- Textiles(cloth goods, stoles and embroidered pieces)
-
Woven and embroidered in traditional techniques, these textiles carry the patterns and palettes of their regions.
Stoles and pouches are finished stitch by stitch by women in each community—practical objects that also carry a story.
They bring a soft sense of color and warmth into everyday life.
- Baskets(hand-woven pieces made from plant materials)
-
Woven by hand from local grasses and bark using techniques carried down through generations, these baskets are both useful objects and quiet decorative pieces. Their color and luster deepen with use, and the patina they take on over time is part of the pleasure.
A natural texture to live alongside, whether for storage or simply to be seen.
- Woodwork & objects(cutlery, small sculptures and other pieces)
-
Cutlery and small objects shaped from wood feel naturally at home in the hand.
Their simple forms often carry a hint of local culture or humor, adding a quiet accent to daily life.
Each piece balances function and beauty—the kind of detail only possible through handwork.
- Traditional dress(garments shaped by regional technique and design)
-
Rooted in their regions, these traditional garments are living crafts that reflect the climate, culture and worldview of the places they come from.
Hand-woven cloth, plant-dyed color, embroidery and ornament all carry a local sense of beauty, and each piece holds its own story.
We focus on items that translate easily into contemporary life—pieces that can be worn as a stole or layered as an outer garment.
Less a costume than a quiet gesture of respect for the culture behind it, made to be lived with.
